What is direct Response Marketing?
Direct response marketing is marketing where the prospect is pushed to make a Direct Action this means that all advertising Euros or Dollars are accountable therefore knowing the metrics is the most important things.
Interestingly when I ask a company how much does a sale or customer cost them they look at each other and scratch their heads erm urrh!!!! This is the basic metric any sales & marketing manager must know and must always be finding ways of increasing volume and reducing costs,
An example of non direct response advertising world be a Bill Board or a Blimp or a poster on a Bus seeing a Bill board may be good company branding and customer awareness, but you cannot directly track leads that come from that as they may walking your office or call 3 months later.
On the contrary with direct response marketing we can create an email campaign or Banner adds & we can see exactly how many people had responded immediately to the ads, how many clicks how many actions & how many leads.
We can also go deeper into it and we can test several versions of the same add and see which performs the best you can’t do that with a bill board unless you have unlimited funds
